Would you like to volunteer at our Amazing Futures youth groups, helping support young people with disabilities?

Volunteering is a good way to grow your confidence and learn new skills. It looks great on your CV too.

Our team of volunteers is super friendly, and we have a great time together!

Volunteer as a peer supporter

young people talking together on a sofaAs a peer supporter, you would attend our youth groups and get to know the young people there. You would be a safe, supportive person they can talk to about what’s going on with them. Your job is to listen, and help them to come up with solutions to their problems that work for them.

We provide free training to help you learn how to support other young people. The training usually takes four weeks, meeting once a week.

Sometimes our volunteer team likes to get involved with events in our community as well. We have helped prepare food for community events, put together food parcels for food banks, helped out at charity fundraisers, and more!

Who can volunteer with Amazing Futures?

We welcome applications from anyone aged 18 to 25 in Brighton & Hove or East Sussex, including young people with any kind of disability. Many of our volunteers have disabilities or additional needs, or are neurodivergent.

Neurodivergence means your mind works a little differently from the average person. For example, if you are autistic, have ADHD, or experience mental health difficulties.
