A free leisure discount card for children and young people with disabilities or additional needs in Brighton.

The Compass Card is a free card. It gives you discounts and special offers. 
The card is for children and young people in Brighton & Hove. 
If you live in East Sussex, you can apply for an i-go card instead. The i-go scheme is run by East Sussex County Council.
To get a Compass Card, you must be aged 0 to 25 years. 
You also need to have disabilities or additional needs. 
You can use your Compass Card to get special deals at places like: 
Cinemas and bowling alleys 
Cafes 
Leisure centres 
Farms and petting zoos 
And lots more!

You must be able to answer yes to these three questions to apply for a Compass Card: 
1. Are you under 25 years old?  
2. Do you live or go to school in Brighton & Hove, or are you looked after by Social Services there? 
3. Do you have special educational needs or disabilities that have a big effect on you every day? 
If you answered yes to all three questions, you should apply for a Compass Card. 
You will need to fill out a registration form. 
This form asks about you and your disabilities.   
Your information will be added to the Compass disability register. 
Amaze looks after the disability register for the council. 
We keep your information safe and only share anonymous data. 
The council uses this information to help them understand what services are needed in Brighton & Hove.

How to get a Compass Card

If you can answer yes to these three questions, you’re probably eligible for a Compass Card:

Are you under 25 years old?

You stop being eligible on your 25th birthday.

Do you live or study in Brighton & Hove?

Or are you looked after by Social Services at Brighton & Hove City Council?

Do you have special educational needs or disabilities that have a big effect on you every day?

If you do, you are likely to have an EHC plan, or receive disability benefits like DLA or PIP.

To get a Compass Card, you will need to fill out a registration form about you and your disabilities. This information will be added to the Compass “disability register” for Brighton & Hove.

What is the Compass disability register?

This is information the council asks Amaze to gather about children and young people with disabilities. We keep this information safe, and only give the council anonymous data from the register. They can use this to help them plan local services for young people with disabilities.

If you answered yes to all three questions, it’s time to apply for your Compass Card.

We have two registration forms, make sure you fill out the right one. One is for under-18s and one is for over-18s. You can apply any time up until your 25th birthday.

Sometimes we do competitions and giveaways with free tickets as prizes. If you include your email address when you register, then we’ll let you know if we are doing a competition.
