You must be under 20 years old.
We can answer your questions about disability benefits like DLA and PIP.
We may be able to help you apply for DLA or PIP as well.

You can ask your parents or carers to get in touch for you if you prefer.

What are DLA and PIP?
DLA is a disability benefit for people aged under 16.
PIP is a disability benefits for people aged 16 or over.
Disability benefits means money the government gives to some people with disabilities or additional needs.
To apply for DLA or PIP, you have to fill out a form explaining how your disabilities affect you.
It helps to send evidence to support your application, like doctors reports or care plans.
You may be asked to go to a face-to-face assessment as well.
This will all be used to decide whether you will get disability benefits, and how much money you will get.

PIP stands for Personal Independence Payment

In order to decide whether you are eligible to receive benefits, the government asks you to fill out a form about how your disabilities affect you. They may invite you to a face-to-face assessment as well.

You should get advice from an expert or do research about DLA/PIP before you fill out the form, to give you the best chance of having a successful claim.

You should also include as much supporting evidence as you can. For example, doctors reports, care plans, or a copy of your EHC plan if you have one.
